The Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service say they’ve kissed and made up and promise to work together now before ramming their own misguided Bush Regime policies down each others’ and everyone’s else’s throats. Was it the furor over attempting to give away last-minute drilling leases to oil and gas companies near some of Utah’s most famous and beautiful landmarks? Come on- Bush people with an environmental consciences or ethics? No. Folow the money.
These are federal employees covering their butts and trying to keep their jobs as the people who hired them slither out of Washington and make way for the new sheriff. The question though is not whether Obama’s team will care about how good a job these BLM and Park Service people are doing. It’s whether they will toe the Obama line and, just like Bush, do what they’re told, not what’s right. If this new peace accord is any indication, it looks like they are drinking the Obamaid.
It’s up to the new president not to lace it with lies, greed and incompetence like his predecessor.
