Someday, we will look back at the modern Roman chariot races that are NASCAR events and ask “how could we be so stupid?” The only question is: How soon is someday? Even NASCAR drivers are questioning the future of their “sport” (which to me is more boring than watching normal traffic). But in the bread-and-circuses world of Bush, Limbaugh and the even-more-bitter-now Right Wing of America, NASCAR is the national “sport”. So what does that say about their future as well?
“Conservative” is perhaps the most inaccurate description of the Khristian-cum-Klansman, kapitalist kabal that has almost destroyed the kountry. Free-spending, incompetent, corrupt, dualist, violent, and insanely ideological are what they really are. Their contempt for freedom, justice and REAL America even makes them unworthy of the word “liberal”. We can only hope- and for you real Christians, pray- that the ugly, elitist society the Radical Right built for themselves and shoved down the world’s throats is ending.
And for you NASCAR fans, that would be “driving into the sunset.”
